Arrow Auxiliary jack volume low

DTB P-B-82.85/678 FEB09 MY09 E & CLS auxiliary audio device no audio, volume too low/weak or low bass sound all from the right speaker group this may be caused by incorrect factory installation of the wiring harness connecting the head unit and the Aux Jack located in the glove box. To remedy, the pin assignments in the connector on the head unit will be changed.

I am, quite frankly, amazed every time I read a thread in which "K" has put up a response. Not only does he have what seems to be an unlimited knowledge base, but he also gets in on just about every thread where someone needs help.
(...Not to mention a few other board members who do likewise.)

Is this done physically or through STAR?

The pins in the harness are physically changed with no SDS interaction.

Thanks for the comments I must say it has been a challenge lately as I am now working out of refrigerator box with a reconditioned laptop – friggin’ economy.

Do you know which pins are changed in the harness (part number A2115409910)?

There's only 3 pins in the AUX IN cable connector -the other end has a 3.5mm female plug which sits in glove box.

Connector 3 (3 Way - AUX audio input)
1 Low frequency R
2 Screening
3 Low frequency L

The only pins that change assignments are 4, 9 and 10. Pin 3 remains unchanged and the rest of the pinouts are unused. PM your email address and I will forward a copy of the DTB.

Hello, I am facing the exact same issue on 08 model. Could you provide the solutions via PM please.

Thank you.

MBUSA 2008 NTG1 COMAND do you have the boost option in your aux menu on command if not, new firmware may add search disc part # 211589162200. Non USA market vehicle, depending on market MBUSA considers this to be 2009 COMAND NTG2, attached bulletin should apply.

Thank you! Did the re-pin and now the AUX is function as it should. No more hissing, lack of bass and vocal on the right speaker. The volume is better but still not equal to other source. What I have here Audio 20 NTG2.5 it did not have newer FW that allows AUX boost like the Comand version.

I still wonder why Mercedes did not fix this issue on newer parts. The AUX cable they are selling is still have the same pin layout which require correction according to the DTB you attached.
