Not gonna list them all, as I've had quite a plethora in my 20 years of driving. But I had a Jag S-Type R (400hp Supercharged) and an Aviator right before my W211.

Never should've sold that Aviator. Gave my wife an R500 in lieu of that one.

YESSSS!!!! I driven Honda's before my MB. Actually here's what my family has driven before getting into MB (Dad, me, and 2 bros):

93 Accord DX Sedan- crashed by brother around 250K miles (the best one)
91 Accord LX Coupe- 93 Motor had 75K on it, but was a TLC car. Decided to junk it.
90 Accord DX Sedan- sold after getting 98 accord (yea got big $$ on that LOL) 200K+ miles and could have done more.
92 Accord LX 5sp Coupe - Still have it garaged as a spare.
98 Accord EX V6 Sedan- Dad still drives it with 200K on it, engine runs real smooth, tranny is going.
00 Accord EX Coupe- Engine runs great 220k+, but replaced tranny, but had to as my bro beat on it.
08 Accord EX V6 Coupe 6sp- A bit faster than my E500 .

My bro got me into MB when he leased his CLK, but I'm missing my 98 i drove before as it was mostly trouble free. The only downside about Honda's is the problems with the tranny's. The 93 had a rebuilt on when we bought it, the 90 slipped, the 98 just shifts hard into 4th. The 00 had to break, my bro drove it like an animal. My uncle recently bought a 94 accord - he LOVES it LOL. It's so funny when he talks about how it starts on the first try. He's owned much better cars (meaning new), and i've never heard him talk about a car more than his Honda. LOL

Same here. Car was good for me to 165k miles. Others had quality issues.

I drove a Saturn till 390,000k before my first BMW which was a M5 (65k), and then got a C280-4matic for wife, S550 for me, and then the E-320 Bluetec for everyday driving...should be noted I am a freak about maintenance.

For sheer driving thrill, the 540 was the best of them all, including the Benz; that is, until it started springing leaks out of every orifice - including the obligatory radiator at 65k. Jeeez.

As you can see below,before this one was a w210 which was an expensive headache,and before that was my beautful Black Acura Legend which the thieves couldn't get enough of,having broke into it 4 times. Might get a VW bus next....

I traded in a 1997 E-320 for my first 2003 W-211. It was an early one and didn't have the NAV system that I wanted but the dealer manager said he would give me a discount on the NAV and it would be installed by March 2003. There were several hundred of us across the country that had the same problem. In May, 2003, they decided to replace all of our cars with new ones at no cost. I got my current one with the NAV in August 2003 for free and my early trade in had about 18,000 miles on it. Lots of early production problems with the first one but, and this is funny, the only initial problem with the new one was the NAV having a software related problem. They finally fixed it and car has run fine ever since.

I'm not overly happy with the styling of the new E models due out later this year but will have to see them in person before I decide if I'll get a new one.

I traded in a Lincoln for my first benz.

Yes, I remember the 96-97 W210's being a headache due to the I6. In 98, they changed it to the 3.2L V6 w/ 221 hp and that's when the quality got better on those. Also they added a couple of other things too.
