What car were you driving before your first Benz/first w211
Interesting to see what cars people moved up to..
A 1990 Honda Accord LX..this car was a ROCK..never gave me any problems..reliable..great mpg but VERY weak in the acceleration/speed department
..just handed it down to the lil bro last year. POST A PIC of the old ride!

OOOh, I am old so there were a lot of cars I owned before my first W211. I traded my 1999 Lexus RX300 for my W211 wagon.
But my first Benz was an '89 W124 and I traded my '83 Chevy Chevette (not Corvette) for it. That was what I could afford during my med school days.

sorry in advance for infringing on your forum, i have a C class, but i drove a 99 jetta before i moved over. great car, no real issues except for a water pump that broke down on the way to vegas one time. i like german cars i guess, what can i say?

My first car was a Benz, 1994 S420. When I first came to school my friends were like DAMN!!! Everyone wanted to ride in my car since no one would fight about shotgun because the back seat was so big (I played football so my friends were pretty big too). I crashed that and decided it wasn't worth fixing and my dad handed down his 05 Chrysler 300 to me and he got a 02 CL500. When the lease ran out, I went with the E. Till this day, the S420 was a top notch car. I still would drive one if I had it (probably would've sold it and gotten a 98 or 99 S500 instead though).

As far as Mercedes cars go, before my W211 I had two Mercedes cars at the same time. A 1988 190E 2.3-16 and a 1991 300E. I sold the 190E in Germany and then drove the 300E until it got totaled by a Jeep here in Colorado. I proceeded to buy my W211 new in late 2004.
At the time I also owned a 996 and a 1995 Audi S6. I still have the S6 now, along with the W211. I have owned a few German cars, even a Cadillac!

2000 Cadillac Seville. Enjoyed the car. Good dealer service. Pretty much trouble free --right up to the moment my wife totalled it.
Had to shop, uh, quickly, but after the first W211 test drive, game was over.

I bought the W211 Bluetec as a second personal car; my other car is an SUV, a Ford Expedition XLT which I would never give up. Heck, I need the Expedition to transport my R/C planes and its great for fishing and long vacation trips. The Expedition still looks fabulous after doing 126K miles; see a picture in my photo album.

I just got my first car/Benz a little over a month ago and im loving it. It's a 2005 E500 4matic. Now all i need is a job to pay for some nice mods. Only have enouph money right now for small things like tints.

Before my W211 a W210. Also have had 3 ML's since 1998. Before my first MB, (had 3 cars then ) a Ferrari 330GTC, 1965 Corvette, and a Shelby AC Cobra (not the Mustang). First new MB was a 1974 450 SL.

2003 E500 (favorite one to date)
W212 might not follow; not sure I like the new looks (inside or out).
