My '08 (see signature) has the right side mirror auto downtilt function. It's also clearly described in the printed operators manual, so it's not something that was reenabled as a software modification later. It's a Canadian market car, so maybe that's the difference.
It also works perfectly every time, but I've not tried the high speed backwards mode - LOL.

mine's a 2007, and it seems to not have the feature at all....
odd that my 2006 CLK350, which I've always thought of as a "lesser" model, has the feature, as well as Run Flat Indicator, another useful feature foolishly left of the US E Class:

Nice offer, thanks, but I'm in Mass. Are you saying my dealer could enable the parking mirror assist? If so, why wouldn't he?? I don't suppose RFI is similarly enablable?

Turning on the tilt mirror function
The main menu does not come up on the screen. Only GPS. SAT radio, etc.
How do you enable the tilt mirror function? This is a 2007 E350. The vin was
checked and the car came with the tilt down mirror function.(when the car is put in Rev.)
I heard from the dealer and read in the manual that if this function is enabled, as soon as you put the car in reverse, the passenger side mirror tilts down.
The only thing I can come up with is that the function is turned off in the option menu. How in the dickens do you turn it on? The menu selection once again doesn't come up on the screen? Can someone please help? I feel like a real AH.

Plus you have to have the memory package (Door/Seat Control Module) otherwise it won't work.
