e500 tranny -- weird feeling

I have an 03 - 320. Changed 1/2 fluid and new filter at 39000 miles. Now has 43000 miles. I don't drive the car that often as it is my wifes but I have experienced the "bucking" as it trys to figure out 2-1 down shift. Also happens under light throttle at low speed when it is deciding on 1-2 upshift.
Appears to be indecisive as to whether to be in 1 or 2.
Since it is a 7 year old car, I am not too concerned. As long as this is a ride quality issue, I can easily live with it, as I assumed it was just a quirk of this tranny. If it is an indication of a problem, I need to re- think.
