Saw an E -350 with pano roof please fill in your idea about the roof. I plan too keep this car many years. Does the pano roof cause functioning many problems over the years of the car. And if the glass ever broke because of a fallen object hit it , is it expensive to replace. I live in florida many hurricane during summer.. Concerned about the roof or should i just stick to a regular sun roof..And can you please tell em abouth this car is a 2007 E - 350 reliable car or does it have issue you are ware of

I have an '07 550 with regular sunroof. The Pano is something I think I might have wanted. If you are heat sensitive, will all that glass be OK with you in that hot FL sun? (Will the A/C keep up the cool to your satisfaction?) If you're gonna have to slide the shade over the glass, what's the point of having a pano roof?

Live in Chicago, with a LOT OF WIND and everything it carries; have NO chips whatsoever (whatever type of glass it's made of is VERY strong and resistant to the elements).
It's great to have as it fills the interior with light, and the tint keeps it cool even on warm days.

I love it. Definitely worth it, makes the car stand out more too. All I have with it is that sometimes it gets noisy, which all they do is grease up the rails.

The pano roof is a great feature; I really enjoy mine. When I drove my car down in the southwest last summer, I closed the the shades during the hot times of day. These really help to reduce the load on the AC and they also reduce the interior heat gain if closed when the car is left parked all day on an open lot.
As far as potential damage to the glass, would your insurance not cover this ?

Honestly, if I had the choice of only 1 option at all on the car, it would be pano over everything else. Also, remember, you can retrofit HIDs, body kits, brakes, rims, etc, but you can't retrofit a full glass roof later on (well I guess anything is possible, it just takes money).
