I just added an 01 E55 to my MB portfolio, for my business. Obsidian black/grey, 1 owner A-1 shape with 47K miles on the odo. It has pretty much every option available in 01 including Navi and phone. It is quite the ride for a smidgen over $13K. There are some pretty darn good deals out there these days. Business travel will certainly be more entertaining this Summer.

Dang, that's a pretty good deal. The market in Michigan is down, but used car prices are still relatively higher than in other areas. It's puzzling to me. For that price and mileage I could only be lucky to get an E430 or E320.

Probably the 550, just cause of the more torque, but I'm sure it's a close call. Congrats.

The 07 E550 is quicker off the line and a bit faster due having the 7 speed and slightly better top end breathing, but from a 20 or 30 mph roll it would be very close. The W210 AMG is "all AMG", not nearly as refined as the 07, but it certainly has character.

I'm having a blast with both, and remain quite impressed with the W210 for what it cost me, it is a very nice set of tax deductible wheels.
