new mod pics - wheels and lowering - need opinions please

So I just got my 19" staggered AMG reps put on and had the car lowered via the airmatic lowering links. I am overall very pleased but would like input on the car height. I think the front is fine but i think the back needs like another quarter inch. Thoughts? Should I do spacers on the front/back to push them out a bit??

(Also, for some reason is seems the passenger side of the back is a bit higher, any ideas on why this might be? There is only one link in the back, remember, so it's not a matter or adjustment with the link.)

Thanks.

mine are staggered too, 8.5 and 9.5.
i like yours but in my opinion is not quite low enough. I am considering lowerng mine just a tad bit more all around (a bit more in the back). how did you lower yours? springs; is it a 350?

I need that rear bumper and tips! mine has the dual but its just under the bumper and points down...wonder how easy it would be to shange to the new bumper???

are you guys fixing your camber after lowering?

does wrong camber show up during alignment?

i'm thinking about lowering my car, everyone is telling me to install a camber kit, but I'm just looking to lower it to what E350's are at, not any lower.

your car sits well...looks good... I'm not sure of lowering the back more...your car looks classy as is.

i looked at the site where you bought your wheels....I hope others have checked it out too, but their prices seem high for 'reps'...correct me if I'm wrong.

i dunno...my wheels were only 790 shipped, have AMG engraved and look AMAZING up close. Also, the whole inside is fully finished and has tiny grooves going around like the real wheels. Some reps are just BLACK on the inside such as the ones on my Audi. These are SUPER good quality. Unfortunately I got the last set of 19s and he had to pull 2 of them from demo status at 2 different shops they work with so I doubt you could get these any time soon. At least 3 months till the net shipment is what they said at first. I had to BEG to get these.

I am off right now to have it lowered just a TAD (1/4 inch) so i will post pics when I return. Dont forget, with airmatic you have a button to raise it like an inch on command so why not have your lowest setting slammed???

car looks nice. So you had to buy the lowering links and get them installed and played with the lowerig via Stars? How many fingers can you put into the wheel well? 1? if so then thats pretty good ...

no with the links you do not need to go into the computer...they "trick" the computer into thinking the car is higher so it lowers the car to what it thinks is stock height. i didnt see exactly how it works but basically i think the new links are longer or something...and adjustable. you can really slam it too...the first attempt was SLAMMED. it looked cool but was just begging for rubbing.

thanks

just got back from F1 and had them lower the back a tad...i think it's perfect now but i'm off to get some 5MM spacers and then i'll take pics again.

(if you look at the first pic you can see how the front is a tad lower than the back. that's what i just fixed.)

05 E500. Wheels are 35 offset. no i did not adjust camber. I'll see what happens. Doesn'T really look that different. I've seen much more extreme camber, especially on w210s.

ok...my bad...that's a great price. I went back and looked...I didn't realize the price was for the 'set'....I originially thought it was per wheel

IMO, the height is just right, if not a bit too low in front, again, just my .02.

Regarding the camber, I have written at length on this forum about it. You WILL need a camber kit, or go through tires at a rate of 5-7K miles. Its a matter of paying now for the camber kit, installation and alignment, or pay later for tires, depending on how much you drive. The correction for the alignment will run you the same as a good set of tires, but once you have it, you can forget about having to check the inside of your tires frequently, as the outsides will look new.

Good luck, your car looks nice.

i appreciate the input on the camber and i will take it into mind. besides wearing tires more frequently (if i decide to let this be my only concern) are there any other potential harmful effects on more important and expensive parts of the car?

also, today i had the back made to match the front more by dropping it about a quarter to half inch at most....and it looks really perfect now for the look i wanted. the above was a bit uneven regardless of which style you prefer.

lastly, you have the same rear bumper as me and im assuming since its a 500, the dual exhaust underneath that just points down. have you ever looked into installing the other bumper that exposes the tips and the related mods that would be needed on the pipes?

Is a camber kit needed if lowering via STARS by a benz tech to drop it a bit more than the stock setting? I've read on several posts where you can get STARS to drop the car a lil more.

Thats my exact question and no one has been able to give me a straight answer.

My 08 E550 sits higher than my friends E350 same body style. I want to lower mine to his height.

Assuming both cars are set to the same camber, how could my drop possibly result in pos or neg camber which would eat through my tires?

Whats even more f'd up IMO is that my 08 E550 w/ 321 AMG Sports Pkg sits higher than an E350 w/ 321 AMG Sports Pkg

Thoughts on spacers to push out the back a bit?
