09 E320 hard upshift from 1st gear

i have a 09 E320/7sp tranny with 1400KM on the car and when shifting out of first gear the tranny jerks violently. i have tried to reset the tranny 2 times now to no avil. this is unexeptable for a brand new car with not even 1500km on it. any suggestions?

.... nothing to brag about, it is a previous model....
Generally, if you have a car still under warranty, I would suggest you bring it to dealer.

If you decide to mod your car, then you have come to the right place.

The cause may be variation in the engine torque signals at the engine/transmission interface requiring software updates to both engine and transmission control modules. Mention DTB S-B-27.00/107a.

I have an E350 with the same problem. Does the indicated SB apply to the E350, too?

27.00/107a only applies to 211.022 (Bluetec). For your ‘09 e350 and all other 211 models with 7-speed hard 1-2 shift and/or hard torque converter lockup engagement mention S-B-27.00/112 for transmission software update.

Yeah I have driven a loner one as well, everything about it you hate, then you see the price and you just feel upset at MB.

Old people love it though, easy to get in and out of, its a mercedes, very practical.

But everytime I turned a corner it felt like it would tip over.

I took my Bluetec in last week for service and the SA mentioned this round 2 on the software update for the transmission. It was downshifting hard (I assume from 3 to 2, cause I keep mine in C mode), now it seems to upshift hard. I hope they get it right on round 3! I am also hoping that it gets better as it "learns" my driving style, as I have only put a few miles on it since last week.

How come I don't have a problem with upshift or downshift with my Bluetec? Mine was a very late 2007 CPO. Just lucky?

You must be kidding. I drive the car to its limits but love to maintain it in perfect condition.
