Which Rims to get?

I'm tired of fixing my bent rims so I'm gonna go pick up a new set. I'm debating on either of these I have a silver 4matic. Which one do you like better? I know the last one looks really sleek on an S550 or the bigger body cars but never seen it on an E before so I'm not sure.

.... nothing to brag about, it is a previous model....
With amont of brake dust MB generate, I would pick the last one out of your three choices.

I have stock 5-fat-spoke wheels and I still think they are @#$%! to clean at least twice a week.

1st one or maybe the 2nd one since it has a lip. But not third one.

Agreed about cleaning the fat 5's, they are very difficult. Was supposed to wash the car this week, but since I've been sick since Monday and in the house, haven't had a chance to.

If you wanna know what the 2nd wheel (MRR GT1) looks like on a W211, here ya go. I used to have those way back in the day. I think the first wheel looks the best out of that bunch. No way on the 3rd.

I seriously comtemplated getting the first one cause it's a great match (IMHO) with a W211. As for the other two,how can I put it? Get the first one...

Seriously though,I only thought bent rims occured in the urban areas like where I live (NY/NJ) ,not in the Bay Area, where thet make a conscious effort to keep up the streets...

The Bay has some of the worse roads!! Especially freeways!!! I don't know how many times I've bent wheels driving on I80!!! Last I heard SF and Oakland are top 5 on bad roads in the US!!

I-80, Oakland and bit more Northbound you will be in a lot of trouble. Dunno why the roads are like that. Terrible for nice rims.

unfortunately for me. I live in San Jose, commute up 880 to alameda for work and occassional I'd have to be in my SF office too. I'm screwed both ways. LOL

OC thanks for the pix, I'm actually kind of digging that 5 star look. I currently have Monoblock V knock off which I love the looks to death I'd buy it again if they still have them but they are no where to be found.

I think I might go for the First wheels as well... The only thing I'll miss are the lips.

Tell me friend, with the way we spoke of crappy roads on both our areas ,do you have to buy tires or get flats often?? On my W210,I got really fed up w/ buying tires when I had my 18's. The rims I have now (as seen below) are 17's and I've only had one flat in the 29 months I've had the car..

Yesterday was the first time in almost 3 years since I've had a flat. But not due to bent rims, just some random objects on the road.

dannieboyz - I can relate to the flat tire issue. I had new tires with only 6000M and was run off the road by a tractor trailer, hit a pot hole on the road edge and blew out both tires on the right side of the car, didn't need that expense. Though, I do think the first rim looks the best, it stays in character with the overall appearance of the MB styling.

I'm not really feeling none of those but if I had to choose and I had a silver w211 I would get #1.

And folks you don't know how bad we got it out here in the midwest with potholes. We get the extremes of rain, snow, heat, hail, sometimes all in one day...
