Ipod preamp install

I bought the ipod pre amp and I'm looking to install it but haven't found any info on where exactly this item goes. Does anyone know exactly where to install this ? I'm hoping its going to help with the volume issue of the ipod. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

It goes between Command and Ipod plug (in the glove). Access to the area left of the glove box can be gained by removing one (or two) torx screws from the cover below the glove box. It can be done in less than five minutes.

Did it on mine and it made a huge difference (for the better).

It installs in the cable between the Ipod and the Ipod controller. Real simple. Look up under the pasenger side footfell and you'll see two (size 25?) Torx heads. Remove them and gently pry down the cover (probably no need to fully remove) you should see the Ipod adapter up in there, resting atop the cover. just plug in the adapter inline where the cable fits.

Absolutely. Be sure to set the preamp output using the hidden menu; too high may sound distorted. Overall volume improved but quality is still mp3, it cannot compare to CD.

I am not particularly concerned since it gives me access to 80gb of music of which I have 43gb populated; accidently discovered thousands of neatly stored songs/music on my son's hard drive, he accidently left the share on to link to his iphone

Just installed the Ipod pre-amp and the sound is a lot better but not as good as CD quality. It was very easy to install, thanks for the info. I had to adjust the volume in the hidden menu to medium because on high it was very distorted. Overall it's definitely an improvement.
