How many miles on your W211?
However, if you do not list your name with MB, they could never contact you in case of a recall.
I believe the gas tank is valid for 12 years in case of gas smells inside the vehicle (I think).
so I went on the Web page and submitted my info it had me down load the MBenz my app. when I input my vin it tells me to enter the last name of the owner to match the vin I do that and it doesn't do anything just stays on that page not sure what to do now idk of it registered my vehicle or not I did send them a email telling them what was going on with there page so waiting to see what they say but thanks for that info I would really like to be notified of any recalls or any recalls that there might of been in the past that where not completed yet on this car

However, still register your car with them. I did call their customer service number, explained that I purchased a used vehicle and they updated my info I their system.
I do this with EVERY used car I purchase, just to be notified by them in case of ay recall.
Just was notified by BMW of North America about the Tekata Airbag recall on my wife's 330i. Would have never found out about this as long as I would not see the dealer for service.
So my advice, call MB and take care of this and see the MB Service Advisor about your gas smell after fill up.
Hope this helps.

2) 94K miles (Bought as a CPO in 2011 w/10K miles)
3) So far, car has been bullet proof. Only problem has been MB Tex on driver's seat bolster has split again.
Terrific car, very solid construction. I realize that replacing ball joints, idler pulley, and engine mounts might be in my future, Oh, well.

2) currently 84k miles, purchased from CarMax in July 2015 with 62k miles along with their bumper to bumper warranty.
3) Since purchase last year, items replaced include front passenger lower control arm bushing, drivers side cv boots, upper and lower idler pulleys, tensioner, serpentine belt, intake manifold, thermostat, water pump, upper coolant hose.
Thank goodness for the warranty, its actually going back this evening for a cold start noise and a CEL along with coding my OEM bixenons that I retrofitted on Saturday in STAR.
Hoping it'll last past 100k once the warranty is up since a majority of things have been replaced already lol

1. '07 E350 Sport (non air-suspension; non SBC; production date Dec. 14, 2006; 272 engine is outside the run of "suspect" balance shafts)
2. 122,122 miles, as of Nov. 8, 2016; wife's daily driver
3. Replaced rear rotors and pads in October 2016; replaced OEM battery (there's only one) in June 2016
It's one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned. The engine runs great and strong(no ticking noises, no leaks, and hardly burns any oil) the transmission shifts smoothly with no hesitation.
I do all the work myself on the car.
What I've done to the car:
Regualar oil changes at around 7k depending on how I drive it (I've used Mobil 1 0w40 every single oil change. I've recently began using Castro Edge 0w40 with good results)
Transmission Fluid change every 35k miles (I know it may sound to often but the transmission shifts super smooth to this day so I'm not worried about it) I also add a bottle of Lubegard Transmission treatment.
Brake pads and new rotors
New battery and voltage regulator (behind the alternator)
Ball joints, tie rods and shock absorbers at around 200k. (Easy job with the right tools)
Engine and transmission mounts (engine mount was difficult, took it to my buddy's shop for that)
New Radiator at 250k (old radiator had a small crack in the plastic, wasent really leaking much but I decided to replace it as it was inexpensive)
New serpentine belt, idler pully and belt tensioner
Just recently i was getting a check engine light for the EGR valve, turns out it was just a small hose that was ripped. Replaced the hose and light never came back.
New accelerator peddle at 260k (very easy fix)
Replaced the drive shaft flex discs( very important!) and repacked wheel bearings with new grease
Also the other day out of bordem I took off the intake manifold and cleaned out all the carbon. Car felt much quicker and idled a lot more smoothly.
Very great car! Feeling confident about reaching 300,000 miles. Btw if you order parts for these cars off RockAuto they are so much cheaper.

2. 64,xxx miles
3. None that I know of prior to owning it. Currently I've done more optional upgrades rather than repairs.
A. e55 caliper/rotor upgrade both front and rear. The stock rear pads were worn so those would have eventually needed replaced. I'm running akebono's now, which should last a long time.
B. Currently going to replace mirrors with power folding ones once I get everything.
C. Replaced internals of stock headlights and did OEM e55 projector bi-xenon retrofit.
I did replace normal items that one would when taking ownership of a used car, air filters, oil/filter...etc. I am going to be doing the transmission flush sometime when I get time in a month or two.
I guess the only two problem I had was the passenger side pocket thing on the door would snap open rather the slowly open. Took it apart to find that one of the plastic feet holding the turning mechanism was broken. I just epoxied it in to hold it and it now opens slowly like the other side.
Next was the glove box. I wonder why it would just drop open. Found out the little leg/rope that is attached to the hydraulic cylinder wasn't attached. I rigged it up with a couple zipties and now it lowers slowly as it should.

pulls like a train, chipped it with Carlsson CD 32 Box. 525000 km don't know how many miles.
Outside Galvanised body looks splendid. Its from 2004.
99K miles
Virtually trouble free
FYI-I tend to "over maintain" my cars, but our current Benz has been a terrific car. The only problem (irritation?) we've encountered has been the M-B Tex splitting (driver's seat bolster), and its ready to be replaced again.
