2008 E350, bought used in March with 16K. Now at 17.7K. Replaced headliner, left tail lamp assembly, passenger side mirror light assembly and front passenger side wood trim. No mechanical problems (knocking on wood).

miles, issues on w211

1. 2003 E500
2. 80,700 miles
3. Only mechanically issue other than wear components (ie - brakes, tires, etc) was replaced ball joints @ 80,000 - only bad one was on drivers side.

Solid car so far, but this forum is scary and think I sold a Lexus to buy this car used back in 2005.

I see so many ball joint replacements. How do you know it's bad? Did the mechanic tell you, what was the symptoms? Thanks!

Mine, was a loud squeaking type of noise as when going over a bump and/or turning the wheel. Believe me you will know something is wrong . .

You guys scare me as well. My 07 has just under 25k miles and it's been 100% solid other than the crankshaft sensor that was replaced under warranty.

just the fact that yours is an 07+ e350, you don't have to worry about SBC and airmatic, which are 2 big ticket items. also, no fear of glycol contamination ruining your tranny and torque converter. i would've so bought an 07 if i could have back then but i bought my car in august 07 so the 07s were still pricey. still wish i paid the extra money for one though

Please forgive my ignorance, is airmatic part of your comfort package, or is it standard equipment? Can I assume I don't have it if I don't have buttons to raise and lower the suspension? thanks!

So, far so good on mine.. It's a 2005 E500 4matic and it just hit 100k. 100215 to be exact.

I've been lucky so far to not have any problems. The only issue I think about is that recently the ride has started to become a bit rough. I need to figure that out.

fwiw, if you guys are going to list your mileage, then it would be helpful if you list the mileage that you, yourself, put on the car along with the actual odo mileage.

If you have a 2003 E500 with 95k on it, but only bought it a year ago and put on 10k yourself, it doesn't mean a whole lot. It just means that the car was all fixed up and ready to sell when you bought it with 85k on it. If you say "I haven't had to do anything on my 2003 E500 with 95k" it doesn't mean much that you were able to drive it 10k without any issues

Maybe list the odo mileage and also how many miles you've owned it for and what you've had to replace in that time. And if you're the original owner, then mention that.

Nobody here who has been the original owner of a Mercedes with 80k+ on it hasn't had to have replaced at least something
