i have seen 3 alabaster whites down here, and it is a nice white, i wasnt really close enough to tell if it was off-white, but it looked very very nice, throw on some chromes, and you have a awesome looking car.

Tezta: An observation: I saw an '03 E next to a Glacier White (most recent color) '01 and the '03 was definitely more off-white. It may be closer to the '97 and before "Polar White". I have had white cars for the last 4 cars and had intended to get another, but the new E seemed to lack something in that color. Purely a personal observation; white is a good color, good in hot climates, and very easy to care for, but I did not even recognize a new E when I first saw a white one on the road.

Tezta: I like the engine, all the performance I need. This is my third V6 320 ('98 E, '01 C) and they have been quite, responsive, and trouble-free. Mileage is respectable at about 23 in local driving. Silent running, good note on full acceleration on all three. I just don't do the driving that would let me put a 500 through its paces.

I have a white 03 E320, and it is, IMHO, not off-white. My only regret is my choice of the interior color (stone), as although it is very nice, it is also too light and shows off dirt very easily.

I concur, the first time I went to my dealer to look at the new E they had a white one on the floor. My first thought was that it was not as white as my 2000 E430. I always thought MB's glacier white was the nicest white I've seen. It's not real off white like some others i've seen. I remember seeing Audi A8's that were just a lousy, dull off white (hope I didn't offend anyone). Infiniti also used to have a real off white I didn't care for. I almost posted a few weeks ago that I don't think anyone on this forum has a white 211. I've only seen one on the road, had pano roof tinted glass and looked real good. It didn't look as off-white as it seemed to in the dealership.

I do think somebody here posted a picture of a new white E with the pano, and it did look good. The extra black contrasts the white well. The one I saw had the simple sunroof like mine.

I saw this car in person, and it was a real looker IMHO. My impression was that of "off-white", but it was almost pearl-like in color without the metallic sheen to it. Am I losing everyone on this one?
I thought it was really sharp. However, the stone interior was taking serious abuse. Stone looks wonderful, but it shows dirt like you wouldn't believe! I test drove this car and there were foot marks and scuff marks all over the place. Heck, the seat surfaces were also all dirty from people sliding in and out of them all day long...
Good luck on the cleaning job!

Looks really nice with the AMG styling. My friend has an Alabaster white with pebble beige interior E240 Avantgarde. It looks nicer because he has the panaromic roof which contrasts nicely with the white exterior
