Bluetooth Puck giving problems

My Bluetooth Module ( puck ) part# B67875878 in my 05 CDI had been working okay with my LG phone. The module has the 1007 software in it ( the newer B67875878 has an 08 software in it) and paired automatically with my LG phone when I got in the car. Lately, it has been very poor in pairing. Nothing has changed. My phone was still in discovery mode for the bluetooth settings. I tried manually deleting the MB Phone System from the phone, taking out the battery, re-entering etc. I also disconnected the module, etc. Finally, I tried another phone and it paired perfectly and worked in discovery perfectly. I bought a different phone ( Samsung Alias 2 ) and it paired perfectly and works just fine in the autodiscovery mode. I have to think that somehow the LG phone lost or diminished greatly, the bluetooth connectivity. Interesting. My suggestion if you are having any connectivity problems is to try a different phone.

Mine has always worked reasonably well but, I have never been able the download the phone book from my Blackberry.

Has any BB users been able to upload their phonebooks to the puck?

I have a Blackberrey Bold (9000) and it has paired perfectly with four different MB's:
1. 2004 E320 4matic wagon (v60 puck)
2. 2008 E550 (bluetooth module)
3. 2009 E350 wagon (built in bluetooth)

In each car the contacts download to the car/ However, I have set up a group called "car", designated the contacts I want for the car in that group, and then set the Blackberry to transfer only the selected group. I didn't want all 500 contacts. In the 09 by the way, all contacts get transferred -- the process works completely differently. But for your purposes, you should have no problem. Press the blue button on your bluetooth module and then tell the BB to find devices, put in the code 62872 ("MBUSA"), and unless you have a really old BB, all should go smoothly.

Blackberry contacts

My Bluetooth puck transfers all contacts from a Blackberry 8830 without any problems. My particular issue is with the sound quality of the conversation.

Do you have part # B6-787-5878? I have the older version, but it will not download my contacts.

Bluetooth

Yes, I have the above mentioned part number, but be aware that there are different software versions of the same part number. Check with the dealer for the latest software version. Some versions work better with certain cars.

I have the V60 puck and it does download, but I don't get the correct logo for home, cell, work etc. Does anyone have a V60 puck and does it actually download that correclty?

I just had my I-phone replaced and the puck updated the address book when the phone was empty. I have not driven the car long enough recently to have it update the adressbook again. I guess I should just drive the car some.

Steve
