2007 W211 steering rack on 2004

2007 W211 steering rack on 2004
I have test driven the newer E-classes 07+ and love the steering feel/feedback. Much better than my 2004 E.
Would it be possible to switch the steering rack from a 2007 into my 2004? What would be required? Will the steering column bolt up? Can I use my current steering pump?
Any info would be greatly appreciated

From looking at the parts fische they show the same exact photos for the rack and the way it mounts to the skid plate and steering column appears to be the same from 04 to 07. It may be possible that I would need a 2007 skid plate but I doubt they changed the subframe so it should all still bolt up.
However, the pump and cooling system are completely different and I have no idea if I could use a 2004 pump with a 2007 rack. I could always try it and see what happens
