Cool Suspension Help
Hey Guys Im Lookin For Help...Heres My Problem


Few Days Ago My Car(05 E500) Started Squeaking In The Front End....Any Lil Bump It Makes A Noise In Which I Compare 2 An Old Bed....Any Ideas On What It Can Be...And Is It A Common MB Problem..Because I Heard The Same Noise From A ML Driving Dwn My Block

Replace there are no grease fittings. When the squeek they have burned out all the lubricant and damaged the wear surfaces. Replace them.

I have seen them break in half and drop on the wheel on other cars but no MB's yet.

hey vettdvr, are you sure of this ? My friend replaced his lower arms not too long ago on his s class with genuine mercedes arms. I asked him if it was the arms or the ball joints and he said the arms with the ball joints. ??

sure of what?

On the E series there are no grease fittings. There is a high frequency of ball joints failing between 60 and 80K miles. there are some issues with arms but a squeek when hitting a speed bump sounds like ball joints.

To be sure I would need to see the car and test drive it. So I don't think anyone can be totally sure with the data that is presented. Only % probability on causes based on history and experience.

oh i see, i heard it on a friends s class. it squeeks on light loads, like when starting to reverse, turning wheels etc.
