How do you like your color so far? I saw one on the road, not a very popular color in HK but it was beautiful. Is it easy to keep clean? How about swirl marks?

Platinum Blue Metallic
I love the color. Almost went for Brilliant Silver, but I have tired of seeing silver cars everywhere, including my own garage. The Platinum Blue color varies according to the light. I have seen one other M-B of the same color - a 500SL.

I love my Platinum Blue/Ash E320. Hasn't been too bad keeping clean and as said above looks different under different lighting conditions. I get tons of compliements on the color combo. Haven't noticed swirls. I have same thoughts re silver - looks great but I wanted something a bit newer/less common.

I just took delivery of my E320 platinum blue/ ash leather yesterday. I had a '97 E320 I traded in, which was brilliant silver/gray. I got the platinum blue because, like the others in this post, I was getting tired of seeing all the E classes in silver in my area. At one point there were four silver E classes together at an intersection! That made me sick.
The color is much darker than the silver so I imagine it will show swirl marks and dust more. But at least the platinum blue was not available in the previous generation E class so we will see much less of these colors around, which is what I like.
After one day of ownership, comparing my '97 E with the new one, the new one sure is more complicated as there was nothing really to program in my '97 and you have to hit an extra button to get the CD or change from AM to FM on the radio. But at least the '03 provides a lot more information. The '03 feels more soft and the throttle and brakes feel much different, you barely have to step on the pedal to get the car to go or stop, much less travel in the pedals. Also there is a loud noise coming from the front each time you open the door. Is that coming from the brake system?
Well I paid a little less than $500 over invoice, but got killed on my trade-in. You can get a real good deal on them now. I believe all dealers have a good inventory of them. I just hope the car will be reliable, I'm always leary of getting the first year of a new model. BTW, I got the full leather, wood steering wheel, E2, rear and side sunshades, and CD changer. I've got to crank the stereo to see if it sounds better than my old E but the wood steering wheel feels and looks great. Looking forward to being part of this forum.

The color is awesome. attracts many looks, and makes the car just a bit classier.
but there are a few down sides...to me, the color can get dirty and "old" looking quite quickly. not too cool. and i've seen MANY camry's in the same color, kinda makes me think if MB or Toyota was the knock-off. and finally...............it attracts a BIT too much attention. i parked my car at the mall where my car was scratched from hood to rear!!! all the emblems were gone. costed a bit too much to repaint 3/4 of the car. really sucks...still waiting for my second layer of wax from the dealer.

That really sucks! If I caught someone doing that I'd love to break their knee caps (as long as they weren't too much bigger than me that is). How much will that paint job set you back and does insurance cover it?

Sorry to hear about the vandalism. It's really sad that some people have nothing better to do than vandalize other people's property.
Tezta, plat. blue turned out great for us. I think it really looks nice with the blue-tinged windows in the sport package. I have washed it, but have not waxed it yet. Proper technique should help keep the swirl marks to a minimum. It does show dirt and splash pretty easily, though. Just like any darker color.
The Ash interior looks great with it. Also, the white gauges match perfectly. Here are some pics:

Cheers!

Congrats on the new ride. Beautiful color. It was a very close second for my wife. Either car had to be ordered to get all the options she wanted, so she went with the flint grey. The blue is definitely more scarce. Enjoy and post some more pics.
