Front Bumper License Plate Frame
I am looking for a straight front plate frame. The one I have from the dealer would bent my new license plate. See photo. Thanks

When you take off your front plate you will notice that the front bumper is "pointed." (All '07s are like this.) When you tighten the screws on your "flat" plate-frame, it will tourque against the pointed bumper. If you're lucky, the plate-frame will bend to the contour of the bumper - bending both the plate and the frame. If you're unlucky, the plate frame will be rounded across the nose of the bumper, and it's not gonna look good. (Been there...done that!)

this is a conundrum for me. I always said I preferred the old pre-facelift grille, but now that I own a 2007 E, I'm not about to mod it backwards. I'm inclined to remove the front plate, fill the holes, and toss the front plate in the trunk with a plan to tell any cop that questions it, "it fell off yesterday, and I plan to have my mechanic fix it tom"w".....SPNJHockey, I'm guessing you might have some insight here....think that'll fly? (full disclosure: I'm already doing that with my CLK, in MA)
