well back to the topic of why everyone in so cal has an e?
its because the e class has the perfect curb appeal. its drop dead gorgeous. and i think a lot of people here don't care about performance, they just wanna look good stepping out of a car.

back in december of 2006 they had amazing lease deals for the 07 e350 and 07 c230. after that winter, u would see tons of them on the road. i know at least 5 people who got an e350 during that month.

LOL, gaazmon I remember you saying that you're Armo and then me assuming you were from Glendale, too. I used to live across the river in SL/LF.
I actually bought one for performance only and what I like best is that I can blend in with all the billions of other E class sedans here. It's a beast when you want it to be, but it also can be driven tame, too; a true sleeper, imho. Stepping out of an E Class does nothing for me and means nothing to me; I just like the power and torque 
It's just that there are so many nice cars around here, that an E Class really means zero (except maybe when the carjacker needs to decide between you and the guy in the Honda Accord next to you, lol.)
Plus there's always going to be a way better car stopped at the light right along side you. I saw an Enzo at the 7-Eleven a few weeks ago. I think the only car I haven't yet seen here is a Zonda.

The E Class is the default grocery getter in SoCal.
3 series BMWs are the default "I just turned 16 and got my license" car.
The S Class is the default "the real estate I bought in Malibu in 1965 for $60k just sold for $11 million" car.
The M3 is the default "I'm the baddest boy racer" car.
The 997 Cab with PDK and cashmere interior is the default "I just sold my fourth reality TV show" car.
And everybody personalizes their cars trying to be different but end up looking like everybody else just trying to look different by personalizing their cars.
Walking on the sidewalk is definitely unique in SoCal. You'll stand out for sure.

Yes, SoCal (at least L.A) is FULL of W211 E-Classes. I have no idea how the 5-Series has been the Sales leader for so long, as I see 4 E's for every 1 5-Series. C-Classes and 3-Series' are about as exciting to look at as light posts, as there are as many in the city as light posts.
I SEARCHED LIKE CRAZY for a W211 with an AMG Package, as they're super rare, only AMG Benzes have 'em, and even less '03-'08 E's have 'em, I don't mind having a (nice/"premium") car that lots of people drive (hey if it's nice and priced well enough, and/OR, if it has an M-B or BMW badge, everyone and their Mom will buy one), however I require it to be somewhat a "rare" looking version from the factory (i.e AMG Sport Kit/M-Pack, etc.).
Then just months later, M-B releases the friggin' 09's with STANDARD AMG Packages.
It's cute to finally see W211's getting the proper treatment they deserve, as the AMG Pack makes a world of difference on them, but kind of ruined the special-ness of having an AMG equipped one.
And if you think that's bad, ALL W212's come with AMG Packages, so EVERY W212 will look alike on the road, no way to get a unique or interesting version, unless you go E63, and that still looks too close to the E350 with standard AMG Package. Too bad.
P.S, the Kardashian sisters are buutt. Kim looks like a Tranny, although she seems to have "toned" up recently.
