Let's play: How much will this cost to fix?

- new door
- new head lamp
- new side trim panel (is this the right term?)
- new fender
If there are no other defects - I think it will cost about 5000$.
But I do not know the prices for the USA.
regards
Cosinus
So:
New bumper cover $300
Skirt $225
Labor 4 @ 175 $ 700
Paint- all $750
Shop Supplies
Total say $2000
If that door is damaged (looks like a reflection) add $2500

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

And reluctantly I'll have to play.

Three weeks ago, stopped at a stop sign, at an exit to a shopping center, and an elderly woman made a "short" turn into my lane and clipped my front end. Damn Toyota !! Also, about 15-20mph.
Edit: and, like so often happens, all apologetic when in shock right after the accident and then 24hrs later changes her story to the insurance co. So had to wait another week for the police report before her insurance co would accept liability. Lesson folks: ALWAYS call the police and do NOT move the car(s) !
Yea, active Bi-Xenon, bumper, hood and fender also gone (aluminum)
Oh, and my beloved clear corner.

Do you have the active cornering headlamps? If not, they're only 1200.00......."only"
Old people should have to renew their licenses every year. I hate seeing these beauties crumpled. Ugh, what a nightmare.
The good news is, use this opportunity to upgrade to the AMG bumper.

And remember Clayton, what's yours is hers !

I agree 110% ! She misjudged the turn so badly that she didn't even attempt to brake.
Well, fortunately no one was hurt. But with Carfax, there goes the value of the car come sale time.
In fact, my local Benz dealer told me that they wouldn't even take a car in trade, that's been in this kind of accident. Cars 2yrs old, and newer can sue for what's called diminution of future value. So, I'm screwed value wize.

Thanks for any insight.
Make sure to make the most out of the situation and see if you can make a little money out of it because work like this will most likely make it on the carfax and affect resale.
I'd be worried about getting them stolen if they're worth $9k new.
Worth is relative. Just like the $1800.00 headlight I need. No way it's worth that. Anyway, I was looking at E63s a while back and called a non-MB dealer in Florida about a car. The car sold that day and the salesman told me "The car is sold, but we have the wheels". Apparently, the customer wanted a set of aftermarket wheels put on instead of the stockers. I asked him to send me pics, and I ended up buying them for the E500. They're very rare but I've seen a couple of sets sell on here in the $2500.00 range for the set. Which is very, VERY cheap considering how rare they are. But they were also being sold during the lowest point in our economic down turn.
Damage to your car doesn't seem as bad as mine, at first glance.
BTW, aftermarket headlight is half the cost of the dealer.
No guess's on cost of my repair yet, anyone ?
Probably not worth it for me since I won't have insurance help me out however you should pull the trigger!

Makes one believe in hunting, doesn't it?
[fingers crossed]Mine's been in the shop since 5/03 and I'll get it back the end of this week.[/fingers crossed]
Btw, aftermarket Hella Bi-Xenon w/active cornering Click here . Ignore the incorrect picture.
