How to skip through preset radio channels on steering wheel?

Mike, I think his point is that although there is a setting for the steering wheel presets......it dosn't work. He is not advocating changing the setting. He is just pointing out the obvious major glitch by MB because the setting does not work.

For those who say it works on the '03 & '04 E CLASS cars, is it possible that it works on the base level radio in to '04 E class but NOT on the HK optional sound system? Are we all talking about the same radio? I have emailed MB about this since it is a programmable option in my Dad's '02 E class, but it is definitely NOT a settable option on my '04 with the premium system w/nav. I'd have to guess it was an oversite when writing the software.

my 2000 clk 430 had it and my newer 03 car with more technology......does not....go figure..but i miss that feature and still have not gotten used to it being gone

...But even if the feature is turned on by dealership personnel, it will appear as a choice on the dash display, but it still won't work, because of a design flaw in the HK programming, so thats why its turned off? ...If its not a choice then an owner won't be mad that it doesn't work?
As long as the radio/nav seems to work well since its software upgrade 2 weeks ago, and it does, I'll learn to accept this flaw.
