What do I need on my E500 to run exhaust tips like the newer E350's?

I have an '05 E500 and want to make it look sportier. I love the '07 E350's with the tips. Mine is not a sport so I don't have the rear valence that is removeable. What other options do I have? Do I have to buy an entire new bumper cover from an E55 or are there any alternatives?

Thanks,
Todd

I found this bumper on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...item41513c6447

Not sure of the quality and fit. I'm hoping others that have added an AMG replica rear bumper will chime in on who and where to buy from.

Thanks,
Todd

What do you mean by bumper cutouts?

Can you send me pics of what you have?

Thanks,
Todd

Stay away from the Duraflex junk. You'll need to trim it, to get it to fit correctly. I also considered this many moons ago, and multiple body shops told me that they wouldn't even install it. Pass.

Just cut your stock bumper like Benz-O and I did.... Or get serious and replace your bumper cover with an OE AMG cover. Here's some pic's of the install with the stock bumper cut-out. Its not a bad alternative (or interim step) to the AMG.

I eventually went to an OEM E63 rear cover.

Your setup is exactly what I plan to do. I'm researching tools that I can use to make the nice cuts so it doesn't look like a hack job...

Thanks,
Todd

I was thinking about that but, it would require repainting since it has some scratches, etc. Also, $250 + shipping vs. me getting out there and spending some time to craft the cuts for $0 seems to make more sense.

Thanks,
Todd
