Lowering E550
Iv been pondering the thought of lowering my ride ('07).
I curious of the different ways.
i know of STAR but dont know the cost and what dealer/mechanic that does it. or the advantages of going this route.
i also heard of the washer method but dont know if the same rules apply to my car.
https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...rop-car-4.html
and i know there are springs to lower it.
Can anyone who has done this (pretty much most of you) explain the methods, pricing, alignment, and issues on any and all methods.
MB Noob.

well...you can't have star lower it if your on springs and vice versa....do you have airmatic? You can get lowering links from me for $200...brand new or I have a lowering module which is used for $400

All E550's come from the factory with Airmatic.
I asked where he's located b/c if he's in Calif, go to Harbor Motorsports. They have a unique way of doing it .. everything is left stock .. no STAR crap .. doesn't void warranty.

I don't think HMS wants me to post the cost, you can call and ask .. ask to speak to Edison.
I actually WANTED a firmer ride b/c I find the Airmatic bouncy and it gave me that. Its not too firm though .. still better ride than a BMW.
