New info for A/C odor!
Patrick an MBZ tech from europe responded to my tech post about the a/c smell for the first few seconds the ac is turned on. He states the the MBZ star laptop can change the programming to allow increased draining of condensation from the evaporator.

Thanks for the info, RJC.
For the MB novices out here, what is a "MBZ star laptop"? I assume that the dealership service department would have one?
I'd like to bring this up the next time I'm in for service.

lol. One other nifty trick that I learned form my dad was to put your car on a Heat blast for 15 mins. Leave it running with the Heat at max for around 15 with everything closed and see if the smell goes away. It worked in my car a few weeks ago. Got the stinky smell out :P

fwiw, if there's any bacteria in the system then no amount of "software draining fix" will cure the smell. Bacteria is tough to get rid of. Colloidal silver in the system will kill the bacteria and the smell will be gone. Then you can do the software fix.
