Sercive D becomes Service C????
Hoping the FSS experts will chime in.
Last month, my FFS said Service "D" in 9,xxx kms. Today it says Service "C" in 7,xxx kms. Can anyone provide insight into why the required service would decrease? I'm assuming it needs 3 hrs of labour now instead of 4 hrs, which is great, but why the decrease?
Thanks

That's interesting because in 2007, I've been told, the "Flexible" in FSS was changed to a fixed number of miles &/or months until service regardless of engine use feedback to the FSS. Whereas previously it factored in use & abuse.

Just IGNORE the letters.
You'll need the service indicated for your mileage in your maintenance booklet ... where you'll find ZERO mention of letters.

As others mentioned, you can ignore the letters.
I would check your FSS system to see which individual items needs to be addressed.

It may change if you did a service bu only had one or two line items completed. I had a letter (can't remember which one) which included brakes, brake fluid, and others. I did the oil change myself and replaced all the filters (air included). I did not clear out the ones asking for the brake related items. The letter changed. A week later I replaced the rotors, pads, and replaced fluid. I again confirmed just those service items. I got a different letter again.

Thanks for all of the replies.
My plan is, as always, to follow the services required based on milage/time in the maintenace booklet. Just wanted to see if this had happened to anyone else.
FWIW, no service (or partial service) was performed to explain the change. No one, other then me, had access to the car so I know idividual items in the FSS were not deleted.
Oh well....the mystery continues.
