Question Astray mat - Where can I get it?

Hi all,

I'm after the little rubber ash-tray mat that replaces the removable ash-tray that's in the centre dash of my W211 E-Class.

The part number is: A2116830051

I cannot find a single one online, and I'm _good_ at web searching

Can anyone help here? Willing to pay an acceptable amount. I'm in the UK if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

-Jar

Nah, try here: http://www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk/

And ... if you want to be really cool you'll replace the cig lighter itself with the power socket, although I have to say the removal/installation is pretty difficult.

There are also "nonsmoker" inserts for the ashtrays on the rear doors, too, but I haven't done them yet.

What do the non smoker inserts do/look like?

My ashtray insert was in the glove compartment. I think it was on the inside of the glove compartment door if I recall correctly. Check to see if you have one in there before you order one.

Have you been able to get the rear lighter socket to perform as a full-time socket instead of switched? I moved both fuses and the front one stays on but the rear is still switches (so I wonder what that other fuse is for since it apparently doesn't affect the operation of the rear lighter on mine).

Haven't actually seen them for rear doors yet. I surmise probably 100% of USA Mercedes come with the "smoker package" option, which has its own code and everything.

Utilizes same cover, replaces ashtray with plastic insert used for garbage storage: left part # 2118460506 (parts.com $23.58/getmercedesparts.com 25.88), right 2118460606 (24.15/26.25). If considering an order you may want to confirm and order through GMP given their return policy and the fact that these part #s list as both ashtray & garbage can.

FYI ashtray insert left part #2118100133, right 2118100233.

Pretty sure that the fuse for the rear cig lighter is in the trunk.

Eh... Never sat in the rear so I don't care what's back there, just wanted to know what they consider a non-smoker replacement for the ash tray...

I ordered mines at the dealer for about $7. My SA just gave it to me for free when it came in.
