Convenience Closing Feature Stopped Working?

I have recently installed a MoBridge Bluetooth and Ipod intergration system in my 2006 E320 CDI. I have noticed that now when I use the Convenience Opening Feature, the windows and sunroof will open to the desired location. The problem is when I press the climate control button for 2 seconds, the windows and sunroof will no longer close automatically. Could the installation of the phone system cause this issue? Any suggestions as to what to check?

As a mObridge product support, I can tell you for sure the installation of the mObridge had nothing to do with the convenience feature UNLESS, you unplugged the left plug on the bottom of the CDC and did not get it all the way back in. The mObridge itself is on the MOST network, climate control has nothing to do with that.

Thanks for the response. I really didn't see how the MoBridge install would have anything to do with it. I will have my installer check the plug that you mentioned.

I plan to have the car in for service this Saturday, I will ask them to look into this as well. I just wanted a couple of opinions before I had someone look into it.

The summer convenience function does not work unless windows have been normalised (synchronised). Perhaps the same thing with the climate control button feature?

Do all of your windows still close from one touch? Perhaps the installer disconnected the battery which would make the windows and the sunroof loose the sync.

They do close with one touch. I did try the sync. and it still would not close either the windows or the sunroof with the climate control.

Hmmm. Same here. Windows and roof open remotely, but don't close.

Would you mind answering the same question I placed for the OP? Do your windows and roof close from "one-touch"?

With all the windows and the roof completely open, I can lift-and-release the door panel window control for each of the four windows, and each window will completely close. I can push-and-release the roof button and the roof will completely close.

I know of no way I can perform one action, such as depressing the key fob button, that will, with just one depression, cause all the windows and the roof to close.

Thank you for your follow-up inquiry.

There is no "one-touch" from the key. What I was after is the fact that the summer convenience function does not work if windows are not normalised. And if windows are not normalised, the one-touch closing/opening from the door button does not work.

Now if one-touch works in both directions for your windows and sunroof, it sounds impossible that the convenience function would not work in both directions (it does sound impossible even if the car does behave like you explained).

At this point I would diagnose the car with Star.

I will let you guys know what I come up with. My windows and roof work with one touch. The roof and windows did at one time close with the climate control. It just stopped working on the close feature for some reason. The key opens them as it is designed to do. My guess is there is a programing issue and it will probably cost a fortune for the dealer to turn back on.

Ron White was correct about "Cant' Fix Stupid!"

The issue with my convenience closing feature was me! I was pressing the "auto button" on the climate control vs. the "recirc button". The system works as intended if you operate it correctly!
