Install problem Dynavin MBE MOST
Install problem Dynavin MBE MOST
Hi, I've been trying to install the MBE MOST but I get no sound, also on car dash display it says
audio ------- so no control with steering wheel.
I've connected the fiber optics to the black box. All 3 lights are on
I've connected the yellow wire from the head unit to the red/yellow wire that were beside the fiber optic cable
I've connected the black wire from the head unit to the brown wire that were beside the fiber optic cable
The pink wire that were beside the fiber optic cable, I have done nothing with.
Have I missed something? There are 2 twisted pairs white/blue that says TX CAN and RX CAN are they supposed to be connected to something?
Thank you in advance,
Chris

I guess it is reasonable to ask advice from an MB forum, I was tempted to say you should go to the Dynavin discussion forum as this forum is for MBs and MB parst (I think they actually have a forum).
However it would be good to get some feedback for these devices. They look attractive (to many) but aren't exactly cheap. Other forum members would benefit from the feedback if they consider purchasing one.

I could have saved you a TON of trouble. That device DOES NOT WORK. We have tested several of them. Bluetooth has no phone book, will only work through one speaker. The MOST does not send any pre-processing, so it sounds like an AM radio. Sorry to say, but I have spent over 100 hours with those and the Haulingan - and I have one word - JUNK
Don't kill the messenger please. Our company has written several reviews, here and elsewhere, as we were hired independently to test them.

It will not. However, do you have the HK amp? Some Audio 50 do not. We generally recommend a moderate amp change when using the COMAND PRO.

Yes you do. You would need to change the amp. In the alternative, we can install factory NAV system in the car, and also give you every feature of the COMAND PRO (minus touch screen, which really is not that big a deal - touch a button or touch a screen) - So if you are interested, we can help with both.

It is VERY easy DIY. If your E Class has COMAND, the whole upgrade kit with all parts is $1299 - If you don't have COMAND, the whole kit is $1999 - which includes a COMAND. This is an E Class price only, other classes have different requirements.
Dealer price is $4600 for the whole kit, for reference.

Did you guys have any luck with the Dynavin unit? I want it for my 03 e500 with Audio 50 but keep hearing bad things about it.
Cartronics, does your command pro system work with US models or is it just Euro?

i would also like to know if there is any new on the installation of the DYNAVIN MOST.
I am etching to go out and gamble with a unit. BUT am still in the dilema of finding out exactly what model of DYNAVIN my car needs.
2004 W211 E500 with COMAND TGN1 and HK Logic 7 Sound.

You should really do a search and read the many reviews.... You will find maybe one or two good reviews (which I frankly assume are from people that have very low expectations or are too proud to admit a mistake), and quite a few bad reviews, including our extensive testing of a few of them over time for some dealers.
I am just trying to save you from the hassle and heartache

[QUOTE=slapboy;4793336]Hi, I've been trying to install the MBE MOST but I get no sound, also on car dash display it says

I've connected the fiber optics to the black box. All 3 lights are on
I've connected the yellow wire from the head unit to the red/yellow wire that were beside the fiber optic cable
The reason for the audio not always starting is because of a clash between original Mercedes modules and the Dynavin unit on the MOST fibre optic ring. The solution is to remove all redundant fibre optical equipment except for the Audio Gateway.
The potential equipment you may have fitted to the optical network are navigation, phone, television or cd changer. This equipment needs to be disconnected or removed, and a MOST adapter added to the fibre optic cables which are disconnected to complete the network again. The MOST adapters are simply small plastic plugs
Once the redundant equipment is removed the fibre optic ring the audio gateway will function correctly with the Dynavin system.
