Friday night I called Sirius & they told me they had completed the Software patch, sent a signal to my radio & lo and behold the lower channels came back... the radio was on the "Hits" Channel..Nothing in the 90's and upward. Screen displayed "Channel Not Available" when I tried to change to a higher channel like Blue Collar ch 97.

Then the screen changed to "Updating" and when it was done I was stuck on the last channel that was playing "Hits" Screen displayed Not Subscribed/NO SAT UGH! No soft button labels appeared on the screen. The Radio was locked up again.

I had them send another activation signal, when done I had the lower channels again, so I changed to 60's on 6 which I like. Again no upper channels as above. Then the screen displayed "Updating" as before... the radio is now locked up on 60's on 6 - NO SAT/Not Subscribed with no soft button labels as it was all week except I can stand the channel its stuck on.

Sirius now claims I have to take the car to the Dealer Svc Dept for a "Hard Reset" which only the dealer can do. I have an appointment on Monday at 9 AM w/ Loaner. By that time the free listening Promo will be over, so it will be easy to get the radio up & running untill the next Free listening promo.

Will advise you guys.

The so called "SiriusXM" free promo is supposed to expire today, midnight Sept 12th, please update us if your sat radio is back to normal.

Well last nite I had a second level tech resend the signal and I have most channels. Still missing chill and some more. This is after like 6 attempts. They fixed it once before and it worked for one song. It's working today as I was in the car for 1.5 hrs. Best of luck to all. Make sure your bluetooth is off on your actual cell phone when you try to resend signal as it will interfere.

Still no-go here. I called Sirius twice and it was so painful both times that I can't bring myself to call again. I'd love a free month, but I dare say it's worth 10 minutes of that awful hold music. If this problem isn't solved by the end of this promo, I don't know what I'm going to do. Who/how do I call (at) MB Customer service? Just the first number that pops up on Google?

Got my car back. Radio working. Here's what they did:
541011 Short Test
681109 R&R C Pillar Interior Trim Panel
820000 Perf Elec & Wake Testing Sat Radio
827644 Satellite Radio Control Unit
Repl Satellite Radio Control Unit 211-870-67-90

They dropped the headliner rear to check all antenna connections up top and at the rear fender. Perform wake up of MOST control units- no reaction from SAT unit. Unable to communicate with SAT unit.

Picked up my car and called Sirius from the MB Dealership's parking lot to have them delete the old EIN & replace with the new. They told me there was a $15 charge to do that & I told them I would not pay a cent, it was their fault that they fried all the pre 2008 SAT radios (all ten of us) & they backed down. I have never been angry or agressive with a vendor before, but this was rediculous being without service for a whole week because of their software glitch. Radio responded immediately to the activate signal.

Anyway... I'm good again. Hope you all do as well. It seems like a tremendous amount of work to me.

Anybody know if I have the latest version E Class SDARS unit now?

For those people still having issues, here's the SIRIUS XM Corporate Customer Relations number: 1-877-283-6506 Option 3, ask for a lady named Jodi Boone. Don't call the number displayed on your unit, it's worthless. Of course you must have a Sirius accnt. Good Luck

The Fix for the Sirius Radio Problems

I went to the dealer and after they spent several days with Sirius found that they needed to to a "command software update" via CD 211 589 16 22" ... that solved the problem. It was not possible to fix it myself so call your dealer to get help.

Spent 5 min on the phone and I now have all my channels. The regular support is completely useless.

Its true... Their customer service is terrible, both from the standpoint of having an easy way to drill down to get to talk to someone about a problem you are having, and from the standpoint of their phone service people being briefed on any problems owners as agroup may be having together.

When I have a problem with an already activated account, I should have a more direct route to a knowledgeable informed service counsellor. Not someone who is totally unaware of service interruptions and can only offer to "send a signal to my radio"... and most of all I don't want to listen to prerecorded sales pitches to subscribe while I wait and fume on hold prior to being allowed to press 2 to continue..

...anyway... is everybody up & running again?

XM ISSUES

Mine only plays the last station I listened to, (a subscrition channel, not the free "Preview Channel") display shows "Searching For Signal" on Comand display, NO SAT on DIC or else displays "Not Subscribed Call Sirius..." with the receiver EIN displayed on the comand screen. Unable to change channels by any method.

Spoke to Sirius Tech Support and after repeated tries to send a "Start Signal" to my receiver I was connected to Sirius's Software people said they are having a known issue with some Mercedes SDARS units starting last night and the software folks "are working on it"... to keep checking the SAT reception for the next day or two.

They assured me the problem was on their end not my hardware.

Anyone?
Ditto, they told me the same thing last night plus the fact that they are pulling straws at a fix, mine worked good until 2 days ago when they sent a signal, now it is saying I am not subscribed but the last station that was playing is still playing in background. this morning I actually was able to scroll thru the channel list but only had 1 station per channel I could listen to :-) Mostly Sports Channels as well or Metro Traffic for 5 hr. .Screen says I'm not subscribed again, at least it is on a comedy channel. I had a chat with an XM Manager for about 45 min. last night and before I hung up she gave me a free subscription for online XM until this problem is resolved. Tried to bluetooth to unit from Smartphone, nogo.

Don't talk to joseph, he's a BS artist and killed whole signal to my radio then blamed it on my hardware.

Talked to XM manager last night and she said that it was not a mercedes problem and that it was a problem with them and were trying to resolve it asap but nothing has worked as of today, you will waste your money taking your car to the dealer, trust me... been there done that. The only thing the dealer can do is update your Command O/S.

The PO sold my Sirius SDARS receiver. Any idea where I can buy one or what I can expect to pay?

True, my car is now on "Extended Warranty" time, but my dealer fixed my SAT radio. But they also installed a new unit in the trunk.
