Search is your friend. I believe Kleeman offers many performance upgrades and possibly a supercharger. http://www.kleemann.dk/Frontpage.aspx

Biggest bangs for the buck are an ECU tune and headers. My understanding is that the stock exhaust manifolds are fairly restrictive, but the rest of the system is pretty decent. Outside of that, you're getting into bux.

How much do you want to spend? Going blown is what, half the cost of the value of your car?

I have an E500 too and have researched it a lot. Honestly there is not much you can do unless you spend over a couple grand for a kleeman SC kit or a Renn Tech turbo. The thing that sux about the w211 is parts are so ridiculously overpriced.. for no reason. My friend has a 545i and parts for his car are actually 1/3 of the price. I would go with a ECU tune from Powerchip group, they are the best without $1,500+ price tag. You will get about 23-26hp and 17-24tq from the tune. The price is $850. Next an exhaust system, there really aren't any great sounding ones for the e500 but you can squeeze an extra couple hp out of it. I would also get new air filters/air box, help it breathe a bit easier. I also think a Sprint booster is a good call. I have never used one, but i assume it gives the E500 a throttle like my friends BMW 545i, extremely responsive. Ive been told that it makes the car feel like it should have from the factory! All these mods you are lookin at a couple grand with about 35-40hp gains. If you chip it tho, make sure you make all your mods before, like new high flow filters, exhaust... etc (Powerchip Group incorporates your aftermarket parts into the tune so you get the best performance from everything.)

1. Powerchip Group ECU
2. Sprint Booster
3. Exhaust
4. High Flow Filters/ air intake

First get some K&N dropin filters, then Kleemann headers $995 on sale now, but install is 5-6 labor hrs. Then get a tune from Eurocharged or OE Tuning. You can wait as holiday season is coming and price drops from $1195 to $895 from OE tuning.

The best way to upgrade your E500 is Sell it buy E55 period.
This is what I did 3 years ago........ not worth to spend any money in E500. ECU tune cost $1000 only gain if 30hp. Header $1500 gain 30hp, Supercharge $10K, exhaust $700..... and all this upgrade it still a E500 not AMG. A decent E55 is only $25K today......

Yes but this will only bring 50hp and cost $2500 easily. Personally I don't think its worth it. Good luck with your choice !

Powerchip, kleemann headers, maybe kleemann camshafts? Stock intake is the best you'll really get. Sprintbooster doesn't add power, but bypasses the drive by wire for better throttle response

$2,000 for around 30-40 horsepower isn't worth it any day of the week, and you won't be able to get that money back when you go to sell it. I'd just save the money or save for an E55.

The only things that really make fiscal sense are:

ECU Chip Tuning- $600

Custom Free flow exhaust- $400

High Flow Air Filters or intake- $150

--Around $1200 for an extra 30-40 hp--

*You can add a sprint booster if you want it to feel faster*
