Christmas Eve Modding - Aznoptics LED Parking
I took a series of videos which will elaborate ..
Aznoptics told me he had not fully tested these on the W211, they are CANBUS made for the C-class. I figured I'd take a shot and try them anyways.
I installed the driver side just fine, I'm having an issue getting the passenger light clip back in, just a weird angle. I'm going to wait till the daytime so I can see better, I was breaking a sweat trying to get it back in this evening.

Passenger Side - OEM unchanged - Sylania bulb

Video 3 - Light Pattern / Brightness
As you can see in the video the light output of the LED is pretty weak compared to the light thrown out by halogen. I would like to see a brighter light, but then again as long as the turn signal lights up a crisp clear amber, that is all that matters.

I finished up the drivers side today, my left wrist is sore from trying to align the bulb with the housing for 20mns again. I put the flashers on so I would know when the bulb was seated(does NOT work), it takes a while to seat, the bulb was not coming on when I seated it, I thought it was messed up, or I broke a clip. After seating the clip into the housing for good one last time I decided to reset the hazards to re-kindle the connection, and it came on perfectly! - but then the right turn signal error came on!
Video #4 with Error (there is no error, just me jumping the gun, but sharing my experience)

Decided the car just needed another reboot like resetting the flashers.. and I was right..
here is the final installed can-bus error free proof of the AZNoptics W211 LED parking/turn signals.

Nice mod. 2 questions though.
How do the led's look in the daylight? Are they bright enough?
Can these be used for the rear turn signals also?
I guess that's 3 questions. Lol

rear turn signals you can't since they are on a board. but in the day light, i assume they won't be as bright but still can be visible

I ended up grabbing a pair and installed them this evening. No problems. Cleaner look and gets rid of the fried eggs.
Thanks OP and AZNOptics!

I can't disagree with you on the color. They seem to match the side marker lights (orange/dark amber) I was hoping for a more yellow color also.

Thanks MB4Tronic, has anyone else confirmed that the turn signals will work error free? Im about to place an order for signals, parking/city, and license plate bulbs.

I can confirm the 3457 turn signals work in the W211. They require a little bit of fiddling to get the wire contacts to work, since the W211 normally uses 1156 or 1157 bulbs. Although I decided to go back to using the stock bulbs, as the amber led's I got from AZN didn't match the stock LED side mirrors. If you want to buy a pair of AZN amber 3457 leds, PM me and I'll sell my used pair for cheap.

The amber ones don't match. Ask mike for yellow ones. I have them now and they work with no errors and match the mirror LEDs perfectly.
