Help! Vibration on highway!
I have had all wheels balanced. I have had the front end suspension check out for any bad ball joints or control arms and all is good.. I can't figure out a small annoying vibration I get on highway - 65mph-80 mph .. Ahhhhh
It's driving me nuts..
By the way my Tires are good too..

OK, first suspect remains the tire/wheel assembly, even though you had them balanced. Find a local higher end shop with a Hunter Road Force balancer, and let them have a go at the front wheels/tires. Even if the tire seems balanced, check that the road force measurement is within spec. It may be necessary to rotate the tire on the wheel and rebalance. Has anything changed recently...new tires, rotation, etc.?

OK....still think this is worth a try...most likely cause, although not certain. A road force balancer is not a high speed machine, but it is much more precise. We had to go through this to eliminate a slight vibration on our E350....good luck.

You never stated brand of tires.
Are they cupped out. They could still balance and be cupped.
I threw away 2 full sets of tires at 10,000 on each set for the same reason.
Now I run ONLY Michelin's PS2's Sport. I have no issues.
I won't go into slamming tire brands but read the side wall. Do your tires
state "made in Japan",, Made in Germany, Made in USA
This does make a difference.

I just found the same problem on my car. Had tires rotated/balanced at dealer and now I get vibrations at 35-45MPH, seat/floor and steering wheel. Been back 3x, they cannot figure it out. Tires are new and this is first rotation. Primacy MVX4.
I may just have them put them back to original positions.
It's annoying as hell.

At the risk of repetition, I am a bit surprised that some of you accept lower-tech solutions to tire balancing, such as simple high speed rotation. Road force balancing was developed for a reason, and is worth finding before taking other steps with your cars. I provided a link a few posts above where you can enter your zip code and find someone local to your area. It may not always be the right solution for every situation, but it certainly should be among the first you attempt.

I guess one can refuse a higher technology solution, but how does that help other than adhering to a philosophical principle?
P.S. Never go to a dealer with a tire issue; it's not their area of expertise, and better service for fewer dollars can be had at local indy shops.

Yes, and candles were enough for our forefathers to light a room....and then Edison came along.

I bought my tires from the dealer, for the same reason that I have all my service work performed at the dealer because:
1. they matched the best price I could get at an indy store
2. they pick up and deliver my car for the work
3. they warrant the tires and give me free rotation/balance every 7K.
Other than this issue, I have no complaints. Plus, if there is another problem, outside of the tires - they will fix it free (under warranty for 6y/75k)
The car rode perfectly before the rotation/balance. It should ride perfectly now. It does not. I am holding them accountable to fix it.

Maybe, but my car is not my life. I don't have time to run all over town for my car.
