Someone posted that voice activation is out for the 03 E-Class and gave a part number but now I can't find the post. Any help?

STKLAW, the post, from another forun was -
'Its finally here yay!, part #BQ6820827
Dealers should have them by end of next week'
unless there's another STKLAW on that forum you should update your info. You've got much better pics now and that 'Tectite E'. I emailed that part # to my MB dealer to see if it's legit and haven't heard back yet. Kinda hard to believe it would be just one part # though. mp

Thanks mb. I don't go to that forum much (obviously). I have updated my profile there. Do you have voice activation? I can get the same function with Sprint by calling * talk and saying the name but the MB voice activation may be better. I guess you don't and neither does anyone else if it's just coming out. Maybe I'll check on the S class forum and see how those folks like it and how it works.

I have Linguatronic on my C32, had it on my wife's E55 and had it on my previous CLK55 as well... the functionality is WAY beyond just dialling phone numbers. You can change audio sources with it (pull the stalk and say CD, AM, FM, etc), you can tell the audio system what station you want to listen to (pull the stalk, say Frequency xxx.x) or what CD and what track you want. You can also dial by name if you stored it or dial the phone number. I tend to prefer dialling by phone number as it's accurate and fast. The system is good enough to recognize a full number when read out in a normal speaking voice. You don't need to pause between digits. All in all, VERY VERY worth it.

voice activation is listed in Navstar for the 04 E series but can't be ordered yet. it is as kaneman noted a fantastic option. still waiting for info as to when it will be included on E series builds.

my 'guess' is that since the whole 03 problem with NAV/Voice was due to Bosche and they were taken off the design, Becker was hired to re-engineer the system, that this probably won't work with '03 cars but any thing is possible!
