2003 e500 dead battery and key wont open trunk HELP

Don't know if these are sound and work but you might consier them and make your own decision as they are not approved methods.
Sounds like with the key turned press down on the lid to remove pressure it might open.
The other item is to go under the engine find a main power lead from the starter and jump power on the input to the solenoid starter to get power to open the trunk. (don't even think about jumping to turn the engine over just enough power for the trunk to open)

the trunk latch was pulled all the way back and therefore wouldnt open the trunk when the key was turned. so i pushed the latch on the trunk to the middle and then put the key in and pulled the latch next to the key
