My Radio is SHOT!! HELP!!!!
Heyy guys wats goin on....i have a 2003 E500 and my radio has been acting very strange.....at first my 6CD changer went and would not work i dont know.....and then a few months after the radio started to short out and kept going on and off weather its in Cd tape or am/fm mode it does the same thing....so i took apart the dash and unplugged the 6CD changer and plugged it back in and it started working again then a few days later stopped working and car still did the same thing when the changer worked....i took it to one guy he put in the scanner and it says that the radio reciever itself is bad but i just wanna be sure cuz its not cheap.......can anyone help me cuz im dieing with no radio

how much are you looking to get for it and where are you located....the.only problem might be is i dont think i have the HK sound system i.dnt see any badges.for it anywhere so idk if the radio connection wud be the same???

If the radio turns off, but then turns itself back on a min or two later, you might want to take to dealer (or STAR mechanic) who can run any updates it might need. That might solve it.
But if it's mechanical failure, then you might wanna see who'll sell you another head unit. I have an '03 500 with the small display/tape/6CD changer. It's HK. I think all of them are, aren't they??
