I use the MB procedure to turn it off AND unplug the module. I am probably in overkill on this one. The 1st set of pads lasted 30,000 miles. MB replaced them and 30,000 miles later they need replacement. I replaced them myself at 60,000 miles now at 118,000 the pads I put on are still above the wear sensor but the rotors are showing wear. I also have the origional rotors and at the last pad change they were still above the wear limit minimum by 50%. I bought new rotors but have not installed them. When I install the rotors I will also do the wheel bearings.
