HID woes

Hello, i'm installing an hid kit on a 03 e320, i have the capacitor(radio shack 272-1020) hooked up and when i turn the lights on they turn on and off, on and off etc. I think it may be the ballast, and also is there any need to change the fuse in the fuse box? I'm using a slim ballast picture below...

i've tried turning them on and i've tried turning them on with the auto feature with no luck..

thanks in advance for any suggestions

Is it necessary for the dealer to use SDS to mark HID=Present ?

I don't think so. That would be needed for Bi-Xenon setup.

Do you have 2 ballasts? Try the other one to see if you get the same result. This is not a fuse issue.

I'm a fan of wiring the juice from the battery by way of a harness/relay set up and not using the stock H7 wiring for powering the ballasts.

Are you getting the "on off" only when the engine is on? Do you have the polarity of the capacitor correct?

dont bother with the radioshack capacitor. get a pair of those HID error cancelors and it should be fine.
