Anyone knows of a good lawyer in SF Bay Area??

For those of you who have been following my defective passenger door situation. Here's what the factory rep had to offer. Repaint, Repaint and/or Repaint.
Anyone know of a good lawyer in SF?.

sorry to hear that. as a goodwill gesture, you would think that they might throw something in (wood steering wheel, etc) for free. i wasn't expecting them to give you a new car (like some of the other posters were saying) but i did expect them to do more than just repaint and an apology.

do you want them to replace the entire car? that's the only scenario that i see that would make it worth getting a lawyer.

Rock.

I can't believe it

Did you mention (not that it seems to matter) their plummeting quality surveys? When you first started this thread, I e-mailed it to my salesman. I was at the dealer yesterday when the manager of their pre-owned division walked in. My salesman showed him the pic and without hesitation he said "just give him a new car". My salesman had the same sentiment. Your dealer just seems to be a *****. Have you tried a letter writing campaign? I'd start with the CEO of MBUSA and remind him of his decline in customer satisfaction. I know you might not want to do it, but as some of us suggested, park the thing in front of the dealer. Good luck. Chris

You need to escalate within MB. It wont be worth it to sue.

I am from the Bay area. I wonder which dealer you bought your car from. My opinion is that it may not be in your best interest to sue them. I would definitely call MB and discuss your situations with them (not your dealer). I had some issues with my E500 and after I talked to MB, they called the dealer and sorted things out.

Best of luck to you.

Take a look at the thread posted by the person that had their wheel fall off. The final resolution was to have the car replaced. The more I think about this, the more I do think that a new car would be the only acceptable conclusion. You just simply don't know where or what damage was done.

Thumbs up

I agree with the forum members to a degree. BUT, I have also found out in my severence agreement with my long time employer that just a nastygram from my attorney worked wonders far beyond what I had tried to attain.

By chance, my Corporation was in SFO and me being in Atlanta I hired vis a vis recommedation Jerry Schriebstein . You can contact him at 415-951-0535. Advise him that I recommeded you.
