Summary of W211 problems and fixes

Could somebody provide a list of all problems to date on the new E-class and what was done to fix them, possibly with service bulletin numbers.

-noisy wipers
-engine mounts on E500
-rain sensor not working
-transmission downshift hesitation
-radio/cd doesn't work
-ticking noise from right rear of car(fuel line)
-active ventilated seats and sun sensor do not work well

Anything else?

The cooling fan noise you refer to, was it just very loud or was it actually a defective type noise? If your complaint was only loudness, was it solved by simply replacing the fan? After how many visits? Did they claim that the noise was normal? Did they compare your E to other Es? Any and all details would be greatly appreciated. Lastly, could you post a copy of your work order specifically showing the work performed for this repair.

When the night weather dropped 32* below:

Esp malfunction
Headlights unavailable
No horn
No FSS function buttons
No Volume control

Now my car is in the shop and the dealer is working on my whole electronic problem my car is having. Thank God it is still under factory warranty.

Like I have said before, and I am saying it again. I wish the German make the car and the Japanese make the electronic. Now that's an ultimate car.

+1 for me too. My only problem was when I got the car I did notice that the passenger side air vent was a bit louder then what I would have liked. Since then the problem either a) corrected it self (not likely) or b) I've gotten used to it. The car is only 1 month old but other then the slightly loud air vent I have not noticed anything else wrong with the car.
And regarding the hesitation to down shift; its not a problem rather the a feature of all MB engines. All the MB cars I've ever owned had hesitation on down shifts.

The only problem I've had with my car has been keeping the oil filter cap tight. Other than that, everything's worked fine...

But after reading this, I'm identifying a few mmore minor nuisances....

brakes can be changed under 12/12 warranty due to noise..know problem

your cds will continue to skip...mb cd players dont like burned cds

your wipers need changing..if persistent we have a cleaning agent that will make your windshield smoother

What is this 12/12 waranty? I bought mine last month CPO. It is an 05 E500. The wipers were not an issue at the time but it started raining recently. I guess I should have tried it out.

This is what I was told. That is too bad. The same discs have no problem playing on my Acura and Mazda.
