Check Engine Light after only 2 weeks of owning her
Yep, Check Engine Light popped on this morning on my way to work. Car is running amazing, but you never know. Going to check the gas cap first, then head to autozone for free diagnostic test at lunch. Will let you all know what code I get....... frustrating. Was going to take it in for an oil change in the next month anyways, but depending on the code error might need to take it in even sooner. 2008 E350 with 67K, praying it's nothing major!

Looks like a camshaft related issue... if you bought the car from a dealer, you better take it back. A lot of dealerships will warranty their used cars for 1 month/1000 miles (powertrain)

My guess camshaft adjuster magnet (140 in diagram) - request they change all four. If dealer does not goodwill repair part # is 2720510177 MSRP $27 each to comparison shop parts.com $19.20

The dealership usually turns off the all error codes on the vehicle before they place on the lot. Did you purchase this vehicle from a dealership or a third party. My father in law had a similar experience with his used car but had shopped around for warranty plans first. He chose a company called qcertified. He has great things to say about it but the choice is ultimately yours. Let me know what you think and good luck in the future.
