+ in FSS after new pads AND sensors

All the sensors are new, and checked before installing. They are all checked good and not damaged on installation. New Jurid pads all 4 wheels and mastercylinder full.

I still get the FSS+ indicating brake ware and they are all new.

It hasn't gone away after 1000 miles of driving.

I know I can pull each well (3) and check the sensor.

Is there anyway the FSS will display which wheel is the issue so I don't have to pull 3 wheels? Konigstiger any special tips?

Thank to all for checking and all the help in the past. vettdvr

Looks like no one else can solve this issue either.

hardly seems fair, but I have no idea....

with all the postings you do, I would have hoped someone could answer you this time. Are you getting any red indicators as well, or just in FSS ?

Brakes are normal no red only the + in the service window. This normally is just a sensor and I was hopeing there might be a way to tell which wheel without pulling all 3. All sensors were new and I have checked the plugs but the two front weren't ohmed out prior to installing, I suppose a new one could be defective. I suppose a rain day inside I'll pull the wheels. Brakes are totally normal for stopping also. There may be no way to tell without pulling the wheels but when over 65 I try not to pull more wheels than necessary.

Early W211 cars have a "mid life" sensor on one of the pads. You say all sensors were still fine (no cut wire loop), perhaps the car had ignition on at some point when the early warning sensor was detached?

If I remember right, the plus sign is supposed to give a warning that pads may need to be replaced at the next service. In any case once the sign appears, it needs to be cleared with Star (or there could be an option at the cluster service menu, I cannot remember this either). Sorry for a very incomplete response, should have read some documents first...

I remember a forum post explaining how to clear the plus sign after brake pad work, hopefully search finds it if needed.

Not a problem not remembering how to clear the +, I don't remember either.

In the past they self cleared after a few cycles. This is one of the early car with a sensor in mid pad. There is a total of 3 sensors 2 F 1 RR. They were all new at time of install but that doesn't mean there isn't one defective. I am due oil change soon and will be in the FSS i'll check for a conformation screen on brakes. I don't remember ever seeing one but then I might have forgotten that also.
