Not sure if I've ever uploaded any pics before. I took some this morning after getting it detailed, so I thought you guys might appreciate an imgur album

happy surfing, I obviously can't figure out how to embed

Looks good.

Is that the MB iPod adapter kit you're using for the hard drive? If not, which one is it? Thanks.

Dension Gateway 500, which allows me to use USB, which I prefer since I don't own an iPod. It also allows controls through the steering wheel and information on the cluster.

Dub,

I was told when I ordered my car in '07 there were no Bluetec, P2, Panoroofs with wood/leather steering wheels being sent to the US. I had to special order mine from the factory. So consider your car rare. I think the only difference between us is I have the rear/side window shades and is Silver. BTW, I brought new E63 wheels to the dealership and had them put on before I drove it off the lot.

Looks good...Enjoy

An absolutely beautiful car. I have a dark red 08 and though it's a daily driver, I keep it real shiny too. The W211 is a real work of art and there is no mistaking it for anything other than a Mercedes. The W212 looks like a Honda Accord with MB badging.

I wasn't aware that it was that rare, but it did take me many months to find it. I ended up flying to Atlanta (from DC) to get it. It'd be nice if it had leather, but I've owned other cars with MB-Tex, and that stuff lasts forever.

Same year 2007..built to spec/order..managed to get everything I wanted..took months but worth the wait. I've only done 32K miles since new and if you look at my profile photo album, it's obvious I'm nuts about detailing and make sure the car looks like that 100% of the time. The only audio upgrade I installed was a 4x150w amp and door speakers (see sticky in audio forum) awesome sound from any input including ipod.

Very sleek. The wood steering wheel is super classy and looks very high quality, wish mine had that I might do a swap in the future if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The E-Class rear-end looks really weird to me without the exhaust tips, but that's a personal thing, overall nice looking car and you're in for excellent gas mileage and hopefully great reliability.

Thank you for the complements, I wish they would have offered it with the sport package.... I've thought about doing the swap, but I almost feel as though it would look like I just threw a bluetec badge on an E350. I'm proud of the fact that it's a diesel, so I sort of like people to understand there's a difference just from looking at it, not just the badge.

Should have mentioned, 73K miles of mostly DC/Beltway traffic.

Oh yeah I understand. And 73,000 is nothing especially for diesels - and because diesel is "a lot more oily" than gasoline, these engines last forever as they are well lubricated and built very well due to the high compression they are built to withstand. Very torque-rich too.
