Simple starting problem E500 2005
Strong starter turnover. No fuel. Inject a little starter fluid and briefly fires. checked fuel pump relay in trunk fuse box by shorting wire in socket contacts. Instant start and $15. relay cured at 91,000 miles. I assume one of 2 fuel pumps would run engine if one failed? That fuel pumps good for more than 100k miles?
This problem not exactly identified by MBZ fault analyzer.

fuel pump relay e500.
At bottom of fuses and other relays behind little vertical door on left side of trunk interior. was not given part no.It is little black block with 4 terminals, 2 inline ones are contacts and will read open circuit good or bad.
