Nav Repl. Wood Wheel..........

Just picked up the Nav replacement, the wood wheel was added at the factory (had to be called in at the port to add).

To my surprise, the wheel is a tad nicer than the last one.....anybody else get a wheel like this.

I can get more photos tomorrow of the interior. The wheel center is leather stitched where the last one had a plastic center.....small, but nice touch.

The car is Capri Blue/Ash Sport if anyone wants to see photos I'll take some of the exterior.

Will definitely get some center console photos though (to follow).

That's to activate the headlamp washers that come with the bi-xenons.

Thumbs up

My original car was not ordered with the wood wheel . I sprung for the wood on the NAV replacement. To my surpirse it was much thicker at the rim then the leather one which I thought was too thin .

The Birdseye Maple in any color is a killer wood. Why most folks do not spring for the sport package just to get the interior is a mystery.

Great Shots.

Derek.

The cost is not a factor. Many of us do not care for the Black Birdseye Maple and that is the reason we did not order the Sports package. The cost would have been very little with the options I ordered.

We all have different tastes and while you are a fan of the Black wood look, some of us are not.

Exactly. I concur with etenn (good call buddy!). I also did not care for the interior trim on the Sport package... and opted instead fo the E1 package for the Bi-xenons. The burl walnut to me is more "luxury" than the birdseye maple. It's a color thing... and the darker color from most angles seems like plastic trim (at least to me I did). I guess I had the pass on the LED tails, wheels, and W rubber.

Oh well.

BTW: Did anyone read the manual on replacing "bulbs" on the car? It says there are no "user servicable" bulbs in the taillight cluster.. and when one goes out you need to replace the WHOLE taillight? Are they serious? I guess I just won't use brakes =)

Question

BELTFED-

Is the console of your sport a leather covering or is it just the lack of glare on the silver color?

I picked up my NAV replacement car this morning and I thought the steering wheel looked different but I couldn't figure out how. You guys are correct, It is different and it is nicer than the other one.

I also have Michelin tires on this car intsead of the Conti's that were on my first car. I understand that these are better tires but I didn't notice much of a difference on the ride home this morning.

sf49ers79.......thanks

ATLANTA E500.......the console is not leather, which it was though

For those interested, the tires that came on this car are Conti SportContact 2's R rated. They may not be Michelin Pilots, but they are much better than what was on there originally.

I'll get photos soon
