2004 E Orders
Has anyone ordered a 2004 E320/500 yet?
If you have can you please post how much youve paid plus the options you have on the car?
Thanks.

I ordered a '04 E500 that went into production on 7/28/03 (last date to change order). Order shows as "Decade Scheduled: 03/08-3)
I ordered:
Pewter Silver (granite grey was not available)
Charcoal Interior
Appearance Package
Heating Package
Entertainment Package
Panorama Roof
Have no idea as to price (or residuals for lease). Dealer gave me a great deal of $1,000 over invoice (which including holdback is a profit of $2,500 +/- for dealer). I was told he might not have the price until the car lands at the port???

BUT, if its 57k for a 04 e320, i would much rather spend 60k on a 03 2003 E500..
The only reason I have waited to get a 04 was because of the 4matic option (as i am in the ne with signigicant snow fall) but a E500 with snows thrown on would do me fine
a 10k diffrence between an 03 and 04 e500 i think is worth it to get a 03 e500

MBPrince - all I can say is wait till your E55 arrives!! You will know real power when you are stuck behind someone doing 80 and want to pass them going up a hill. Truly awesome!!
(Sorry, not trying to dis the E500

RedBaron - I can't wait to feel the dif in power of the E55. I know it's huge. Yesterday I had to get a package to fedex by 5pm - 30 miles/30 minutes - and the E500 didn't let me down - if I had the E55, I probably would have gotten a speeding ticket!!!!
Having the E500 makes the waiting a little easier.

2016 E400 4-Matic Coupe, 2002 Chev 2500 HD Crew, 1983 Porsche 911SC,
Brand new here, and I've been reading as much as humanly possible on the new E on this forum. I have learned tons, and many thanks to all who contributed.
I recently Ordered my first MB! A 2004 E 320 Sport (Appearance group) 4-Matic for a build date of the beginning of Sept. and delivery estimated mid-Oct. Got the usual stuff, sunroof pkg., entertainment pkg., and comfort pkg. (heated seats and wheel). Also ordered the trunk closer / release option. Skipped the NAV option. I tried to get the wood wheel, but the order kept getting kicked back by until we realized that MB wasn't accepting a combo of a heated wheel with the wood wheel option. Seems they can't get the heating element to function correctly with the wood wheel. Bummer. Oh, well. In my climate, heat is more important in the winter that the looks.
Oh, and the dealer is offering 2.5% off of MSRP, even though we don't know what that will be. (scary). Probably not the best deal, but better than nothing.
Otherwise I drive 1983 911 SC coupe which I've owned, fixed on, and driven since 1990, and a 2002 Chevy 2500 HD crew cab.
Anyway, just thought I'd register and chime in.
TT

My order shows both 289 option and 443 option.

I went back to my salesman and made sure there was no issue. He said that with wood wheel + heated wheel there was no issue, but Netstar was not taking orders for Sport + wood wheel. I think this is the combo that is rejecting your wood wheel order

I too, went back to the sales manager and had him re-submit to Netstar, and it still wouldn't take the combo. Never thought to have him unbundle the sport package to see if it would work. Guess I'll stay with the order as is. I appreciate your willingness to check the situation out on your order.

My dealer had the same issue with the Appearance Package combined with Wood/Leather wheel. The solution was to unbundle the Appearance Package into its separate components: 5-spoke 17" wheels, Avant Garde Package, and Lighting Package. Once they did that, they could order the wood/leather wheel with no problem. Hope that helps.

AMG sport package for '04 211 cars
E mail from MB corporate 08/13/03:
Re: Model Year 04 E-Class “Appearance” & “AMG Sport” Packages
We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate some optional package changes effective with Model Year 04 ordering.
· The Model Year 03 “Sport” Package E3 gets a name change and new code (322), and will now be called the “Appearance” Package as of Model Year 04. There is no change to the content, (other than deletion of the fender and gearshift lever badges*). This package is already available for ordering on both the sedan and wagon. The package will continue to be comprised as follows:
o (Requires optional Airmatic suspension and leather upholstery on E320). 17” 5-spoke alloy wheels with 245/45WR-17 high-performance tires. Sculpted lower bodywork. Blue-tinted glass. Black grille with five chrome ribs and chrome surround. Active curve-sensing (new) Bi-Xenon High intensity discharge projector low-beam and high-beam headlamps. Heated headlamp washers. All-LED brake lamps. Black (new) gauge faces, with matte chrome instrument cluster surround. Matte chrome gearshift surround. Black birdseye maple wood interior trim with polished chrome outlining.
o $3,880 on the E320. Projected order rate: 8%.
o $1,410 on the E500. Projected order rate 25%.
· The “AMG Sport” Package Code 321 is new for Model Year 04, and will be available on both the sedan and wagon. Production availability will be announced separately. At the time of this writing, the AMG Sport package will not be available on 4Matics. The package will consist of:
o AMG front & rear bumpers, 18” 5-spoke AMG wheels (not E55 AMG wheels; see photo below) in a staggered setup (8x18”245/40ZR18 front, 9x18” 265/35ZR18 rear). Sculpted lower bodywork (like “Appearance” pkg.) Two visible chrome exhaust pipes. “Sport” fender badges & gearshift badge.
o $4,800
All of the packages are reconfigured for '04 (just to keep things interesting ?). Iwill try to get a complete list together and post a thread.
