Punctured hole? in lower LF airmatic strut (pics)
Hello everyone, I am an owner of Mercedes-Benz E500 with for almost two year and I love every minute of it. I am been browsing MBWorld.org for quite some time and I have learned alot about this car, especially with DIY tutorials. Thank you all for that.
I did routine maintenance on the car over the weekend and noticed the lower left front airmatic front may have a punctured hole in it? See pics. I don't think it is a hole, it is just bent in?
What are your recommendations to repair this issue?
Also, the Airmatic Visit Workshop with an arrow up have been displaying on dash occasionally. Do you guys know where I can get a blueprint where I can check the airmatic sensors? Based on my previous research on this forum to make sure it is tightly secured to stop this message pop-up? However, the rear airmatics does drop to the ground overnight, but rises when the car is started.
Thanks.

Actually that's a crease that may open to a crack and vent the strut. Nothing you can do about other than try to make sure it folds properly when weight is on the car. But I think you can expect to have to replace it in the near future.

That is nothing more than the dust boot pushed in. It is not what hold the pressure. You can push on it with your finger.
