NAV Replacement / Starmarked Price?
Now, I'm curious, what could I bargain that down to? Should I expect to take a lot off the top, or a little, or none? What do you guys think a fair price would be on a vehicle like that? Any facts, opinions and even speculation would be much appreciated.
How much do you think will prices for the used '03s drop once the '04s hit the shores?
i wouldnt think that they would drop a lot, but they could drop, in my opinion, i wouldnt get a replacement car, just because, we atleast beat up on the car, because we knew it was for free, and im sure other also did.
I would think the replacement car would be the equal of any of the Starmark cars.

With regard to your comment about people abusing their cars -- quite frankly, I believe that a car driven hard maximizes its potential.
All kidding aside, I think it's always a crapshoot buying a car, new or used. For a new car, you never know who test drove your car prior to your purchase during the key break-in process, nor do you know whether it was a "Monday" car. I think there's more variability in the used car market, but with a 3+1 year warranty (thank you Starmark) I don't really care.
Your statement thet "We at least beat upon the car because we knew it was for free and i'm sure others did" really concerns me. I have rented hundreds of cars and have always treated them as good as my own. I sincerely hope that most people owning E Class cars have a more responsible attitude.

He wants $53,900 for a used, 8,000 mile E500 with E2 and E3 and CD Changer. What's killing me here is that I could get a *new* E500 in California with the same options for $56,000, if I were willing to get it shipped out here (+800). I'm looking at the used option to *save* some substantial amount, not to save a tiny bit. This same dealer is offering me $1,500 off MSRP on a brand-new '03 E500 ... which is almost $3700 more than what the California guys are offering!
Anyway, my dealer said "the used E500 market is really hot right now! I could maybe give you a 1,000 off the $53,900, but that's it."
What is a fair target price I should be hitting? I think these figures are way high, from looking it up in Galves, etc. Anyone have any advice?
Just email the internet sales manager and check the quotes.
