- Mercedes Benz E Class AMG: How to Install lowering springs
Step by step instructions for do-it-yourself repairs
w211 Sport Lowering on H&R springs, a good Socal shop?
thanks!!
kinda figured that, but looks like some peeps here when i did a search they had to cut this and replace that on eibachs, hoping its not the same for H&R springs, if not then i can just DIM..... i read some peep didnt have to have camber bolts with these springs or any problems....
The rear camber is a bit more than stock, but basically the inside edge is slightly more worn than the outside edge, but I tend to blow through 2 sets of rears to one set of fronts... I have the staggered AMG sport style rims on for the summer.
I want to say I probably have 25-30,000 miles on the set up and I am still very happy.
cut this per below .... do you think my front end will lower more with eibachs or H&Rs with the sport package? i want that even look where the back is just as lower and not the muscle car look. thanks!

I'm sitting on and waiting to install a brand new set of Coilovers Bilstein B16 (Ride Control) PN: 49-132380 (iRC module also on order when available)
My local MB dealer, MB Cherry Hill refused the install however agrees to align it (when done).
Anyone know of a Indy shop in Southern NJ who has the expertise?
Sure be easier to install on a lift.
If I fail to locate someone, I'll wait for the weather to clear up and Mercury transit to pass (I'm superstitious) by March 17th; no upgrades during this period.
. I need to buy a spring compressor and an air rachet, if I tackle the job myself in the driveway, not enough room in the garage.

OK. I'll take it to my MB tech. Here's another bit of data- it happens every 8 minutes on the dot. Thoughts?

Do a forum search , there are loads of suggestions, especially in the antenna area

As far as Bilstein Ride Control (PSS9 with ride control), it is very effective. In comfort mode the car feels really smooth, absorbs the bumps very well, at least as good as when I had 16" wheels. Hit the Sport mode while driving and instantly stiffens up but road contact/feel is definitely better, less disturbing than on stock shocks with my 19's. I've only driven it today; I'll post some pics and share my experience over next few days once I've driven a bit.

duh, i forgot the e550 have airmatic right?
