Rear Decklid Rattle
I've posted on this issue before and while there are countless threads about this problem on the E-Class I haven't seen one solution other than one that Otto gave me a year back that I'm not sure how to carry out.
At certain frequencies and levels of bass, the rear deck where the subwoofer is mounted will rattle. I am not trying to be a tool with crazy amounts of bass - even at only 3 notches above neutral I still get it on some songs. It seems like a common if not universal issue, and putting pressure on the panel seems to stop the rattle for the most part. Other than hiring someone to sit back there and put their hand on it lol, what can I do or how do I go about either A) tightening the panel to stop the bad vibration or B) dampen it? I assume dynamat wouldn't hurt but I don't think that is inexpensive to do as there is a lot of disassembling I would have to do.
Any thoughts?

"So how do I tighten up that panel?"
First if I was in your situation, and I am not because I am partially deaf, I would not go to a mechanic for that type diagnosis---he loves to charge for why is the sky blue questions----------------I would go to a installer of sound equipment, surely he will have more insight than a wrench turner. So that's what I would do!!

I have a rattle too, narrowed it down to where it seems the speaker is "torn" or at least the cloth material part has come unglued from the center magnet part of the speaker. Not sure what i can do to fix it. Thinking of putting some rubber or hot glue type of stuff to keep it together.

@Plutoe, this is common among all W211s and isn't speaker related. Already inspected that. When I put pressure down on the panel (not the speaker) it fixes the problem, so I've already gone through the process of diagnosing the problem now I just need to learn how to fix it.
